Shave the area about 12–24 hours before your visit, unless your provider says otherwise.
Skip waxing, tweezing, and threading for about 4 weeks beforehand; the follicle needs to be present.
Avoid tanning and self-tanner; tell us about recent sun exposure or any sunburn.
Arrive with clean skin: no lotion, deodorant, perfume, or makeup on the area.
Tell your provider about medications, skin conditions, pregnancy, or changes in your health.

Aftercare

Mild redness or bumps around follicles can be normal and usually settle soon.
Use a cool compress and gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer if needed.
For 24–48 hours, avoid hot tubs, saunas, very hot showers, harsh scrubs, and intense workouts if skin is irritated.
Protect exposed areas with broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and avoid tanning.
Do not wax or pluck between visits; shaving is okay once skin feels calm.
